Meet Attorney Thomas Soldan
Thomas Soldan received his B.A. in Government-Law and History from Lafayette College, where he graduated cum laude with special honors in History for his thesis on the application of world systems theory to the growth of baseball around the world. This project combined his passions for history, in particular the colonialism practices throughout history, and sport.
He then continued his education at the University of Georgia School of Law in Athens, Georgia, where he participated in the Special Education Clinic, advocating for services for disadvantaged parents of special needs children. He was also a peer mentor for international students and an associate for LexisNexis, assisting fellow law candidates with research and writing projects and helping journal members with their research projects.
After receiving his law degree, Mr. Soldan returned to his native Virginia and began practicing law. He soon gained employment with a boutique general litigation firm in Warrenton, Virginia where he practiced in nearly every area of civil and criminal litigation.
In 2011, Mr. Soldan joined the firm of Price Benowitz, LLP and focused his practice on the defense of criminal matters, including traffic, reckless driving and DUI/DWI defense and personal injury litigation, representing those who have been injured by the negligence of others. Mr. Soldan is a Past President of the Fauquier County Bar Association, a member of the Loudoun County Bar Association and is barred in the Commonwealth of Virginia and Virginia federal courts.
He is an avid baseball fan, transitioning from a college playing career to adult amateur leagues after law school. Recently retired, he’s turned his interests toward fandom of the Nationals, lowering his golf handicap and keeping up with his wife and son.
Additionally, Mr. Soldan is an avid trail runner, participating in races as long as 50K through the mid-Atlantic region and assisting friends in even longer endeavors. On weekends he can be found on the Cross-County Trail in Fairfax or the Bull Run-Occoquan Trail on the Fairfax-Prince William County line.
